PETER's GUIDE TO THE KRUGER AND OTHER NATIONAL PARKS

Quite and unassuming, Peter's outstanding works regarding finding your way around national parks, are vital. I have his first book on looking around the Kruger Park. Peter has surveyed the Kruger from top to toe and each page has a detailed map with GPS/SATNAV positions, so you always know where you are.

The book is crammed full of useful information that takes away all those "boring" moments when viewing game.
  1. The meaning of place names is given e.g. MUHLAMBAMADVUBE means "zebra bathing place" in the Swati language. These names are very informative and interesting.
  2. All the historic plaques are located e.g. The Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial.
  3. You will get instant identification of trees, shrubs and geology, giving you a new dimension to you visit.
  4. There is interesting information about animals
Peter has also done books on the Kgalakadi Transfrontier Park and both the Kruger and the Kgalagadi are available as e-guides. His newest offerings are Augrabies Falls National Park and Addo Elephant National Park.

I personally use his guide when I visit the Kruger so that when I look at something, I can be informed in an easy and concise manner.
